Actually, Yahoo! set up an open house last week just for us ex-AOLers. Was awful nice of them. eBay and Microsoft are doing the same next month.

I would feel much worse if it had only been me, but 350 of us were let go... another 100 in west coast offices. I pictured some unnamed VP (the guy who I know dropped the axe on me) logging in his diary that day: "I laid off 350 people. Then I masturbated." Such is life.

Ugh! What jerks - no surprise. Hope your holidaytime is otherwise good. And in a little bit, when you've landed a fabulous new job with a non-evil company, you'll be glad they were stupid enough to alienate so many talented folks.
